Bridges.com - Top 10 Ranking
on Canada's Technology Fast 50 List

September 20, 2001

Kelowna, BC - Bridges.com Inc. (TSE:BIT) - North America's leading provider of career and educational planning solutions - is pleased to announce it has placed 10th on the 2001 Deloitte & Touche Canadian Technology Fast 50 list. The numerical list, released today, recognizes Canada's fastest growing technology companies, both public and private, from all technology sectors, including software, life sciences, manufacturing and computer peripherals.

"We appreciate this top 10 recognition for the second year in a row," says Doug Manning, Chief Executive Officer and President of Bridges. "We have experienced revenue growth of more than 5,015 per cent over the past five years with annual revenues at $14.626 million in fiscal year 2000, up from $285,933 in fiscal year 1996." Last year, the company had revenue growth of more than 3,157 per cent -- with annual revenues at $4.616 million in fiscal year 1999, up from $141,699 in fiscal year 1995 -- placing ninth on Deloitte & Touche's list.

In addition to its high revenue growth, Bridges has also achieved a positive operating cash flow of $2.8 million on EBITDA of $2.1 million. This positive growth in revenue and cash flow from operations is supported by a very stable education market that is government funded.

"The stability of our business is reflected in our high rate of customer retention and the growing importance of career and educational planning in the education sector," said Manning. "Over 90 per cent of our subscribing institutions elect to resubscribe each year. Educators, our core customers, see the benefits of having their students feel passionate about their future career and educational plans."

"When a company can post consistent revenue growth of the scale required to place in the Canadian Technology Fast 50 they become recognized as companies that will lead the New Economy," says Garry Foster, National Director, Technology and Communications, Deloitte & Touche. "Their vision, hard work, and perseverance in the face of an extremely challenging and dynamic tech sector set a high standard for continued success and sustainable growth."

The Deloitte & Touche Canadian Technology Fast 50 recognizes the importance of Canadian technology companies and profiles Canada's industry leaders helping them to get the attention and support they deserve at home and abroad. The annual program ranks the 50 fastest-growing technology companies based on the highest rates of revenue growth during the last five years (1996-2000). Bridges now awaits its final ranking on the Forbes Fast 500 list of North America's fastest-growing tech firms, to be published in the November 26, 2001 issue of Forbes ASAP Magazine.

The company is expected to release its 2001 third-quarter earnings on October 2, 2001. The release will be followed by a conference call. For more information about the Fast 50 see http://www.fast50.ca
