Bridges.com Ranked Number 121 Fastest Growing Technology Company in North America on the 2001 Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500
November 14, 2001 Kelowna, BC - Bridges.com Inc. today announced that it ranked Number 121 on the 2001 Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America. Rankings are based on five-year percentage revenue growth from 1996-2000. Bridges grew over 5,015 per cent during this period, with annual revenues at $14.626 million in fiscal year 2000, up from $285,933 in fiscal year 1996. Bridges' Chief Executive Officer and President, Doug Manning, said, "We are pleased to be making the Fast 500 list for the second year in a row. Only 9 per cent of the Fast 500 companies are from Canada, and we are proud to be counted among Canada's fastest growing technology companies." "Making the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 is a testament to a company's leadership, commitment to technology, and ability to deliver the right solution at the right time. With its 5,015 per cent five-year growth rate, Bridges has proven that its leadership has the vision and determination to succeed, and we at Deloitte & Touche salute their accomplishments," said Mark A. Evans, managing director, Deloitte & Touche Technology & Communications Group. The Fast 500 list is compiled from three sources: winners of Deloitte & Touche's 22 regional North American Fast 50 programs, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500, and public company database research. To qualify for the Fast 500, entrants must have had 1996 revenues of at least $50,000 USD and $75,000 Cdn for the United States and Canada, respectively. Entrants are public or private companies headquartered in North America and must be a "technology company", defined as a company that develops proprietary technology which contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues, manufactures a technology-related product, or devotes a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology. In addition to the Deloitte & Touche placement, Bridges also was ranked last week in B.C.'s Top 50 by T-Net, the British Columbia Tech Network, which lists B.C.'s top 100 technology private and public companies by their revenue each year. Bridges was ranked as B.C.'s 49th largest technical company in 2000.
