Bridges Signs Second Set Of U.S. Software Distribution Agreements

Dataflex And Education Technology, Inc. Set To Offer Career Explorer Online To U.S. Education And Library Markets

KELOWNA, British Columbia, Canada -- , August 27, 1996 -- The Bridges Initiatives Inc. (ASE:BIT), one of Canada's foremost providers of career and life skills information via the World Wide Web, today announced the signing of sales, marketing and distribution agreements with two U.S. educational software distributors: Dataflex Corporation of Edison, New Jersey, and Education Technology, Inc. (ETI) of Tacoma, Washington.

The distribution agreements signed today by Bridges, provides both U.S. distribution partners with a licence to market, sell and distribute the Career Explorer Online service to the education and library markets within the United States. Dataflex and ETI join Learning Services, Ogden & Associates, Advanced Data Support Systems, Inc., and Finamore & Associates as Bridges' American distribution partners.

The Company also announced that, for personal reasons, Pat Montani has stepped down as Director of The Bridges Initiatives, Inc. The management of Bridges would like to thank Mr. Montani for his contributions to the Company. The Company expects to appoint a new Director in the next few months.

The Career Explorer Online service, available to subscribers through the World Wide Web, features up-to-date career resources developed to help young people and adults in transition prepare for their career futures. The online educational information service is updated daily, featuring new articles focused on career information, skill development and the changing labor markets. The online service provides current information about emerging employment opportunities and the necessary skills required to access those opportunities.
