To apply an update, follow these steps:

  1. Please ensure that you have already installed Choices/Career Futures 2005 from your product CD.


  2. On the Product Updates page, click the "Windows Update" link for the update you wish to install.


  3. Your browser may offer to run the installer immediately from the Web site (by opening it). Choose this option if it is offered. Alternatively, choose a temporary folder location to which you will save the update file (such as My Documents).


  4. If you elected to save to a temporary location (otherwise, go to step 5) then, following the completion of the download, use Windows Explorer to locate the temporary folder you chose to save the file in. Run the update by double-clicking the filename of the update you downloaded.


  5. An InstallShield installer will start. Please follow the directions contained within it remembering to specify the folder where you have already installed Choices/Career Futures 2005.


  6. Once the installer completes successfully and exits, your product will be updated. If you saved the update installer to a temporary folder location on your hard drive, you may now delete the file.
