Do students have to create a Career Futures™ session file, or should they use the Continue Without A Session File feature?
Have students create session files if they wish to save their work in Career Futures. Students can use the Continue Without…prompt at first, and if they decide to save, they should make sure to select to save their work before exiting Career Futures.

Where are the assessments in Career Futures?
Under All About Me, students can take the Like and Dislikes interest checklist and also Climbing Skills Mountain, which helps students identify their own basic skills.

How can students see careers that match their interests and skills?
Once students have completed one of the assessments (or both), go to Looking At Occupations, then click GO on the Getting Started page. The occupation window will be displayed. Click on Search, then select Basic Skills and/or Career Areas (Interests) and select Use or Change. Students will see a message that their assessment results will be selected automatically. Click OK to see a list of occupations that match their assessment results.

Our middle schools use Career Futures and our high schools use Choices™ CD Edition. Can Career Futures student session files be transferred to the high school?
Career Futures session files can be opened up within Choices CD Edition, and will then convert automatically into a Choices session file. Technicians can transfer Career Futures session files to the high school by saving the files to disk or by copying these files to the high school server.
