Dear Holly,
January can be bleak -- but it doesn't have to be! Did you know it's National Soup Month? If soup isn't festive enough, consider January 25. That's National Pie Day. Want to add some zing to those winter days? January 21st is International Hot and Spicy Food Day.
There are hundreds of ways to make January special -- I can think of 10 different kinds of pie, as a starting point.
But did you know there can be even more variety in Choices Planner? You don't have to serve your students the same lesson every year. Spice up your classes with our 101 Ways to Use Choices Planner document.
We've listed over one hundred cool and creative ways to use Choices Planner. The list is organized by subject, so you can share some of the ideas with other teachers. You might also discover that it's a great starting point for creating your own lessons. You'll be surprised by the range of possibilities once you get started mixing and matching our planning ingredients.
Have a happy (and hopefully delicious) January! See you next month.
P.S. Add even more excitement to January by voting in our video contest: http://www.bridges.com/video/vote.html. Voting closes on January 15. View our top 11 finalists and let us know your favorite!
