Dear Bridget, I know that Choices Planner has a ton of great features to help my students plan their futures. I would love to sit down and get to know every feature inside out. But who am I kidding? I barely have time to brush my teeth these days. If I am going to get to know anything inside out, it's my shirt, after I get dressed in the wee hours of the morning to start another crazy day. But I don't want my busy schedule to shortchange my students' ability to get the most out of Choices Planner. Any ideas? Sincerely, Earl Lee Riser |

Dear Earl, Take a deep breath! Your students can easily straighten out their future plans with Choices Planner. And, if you don't mind me making a personal suggestion, you'll have plenty of time to attend to things like straightening out your clothes. In the middle of the Choices Planner home page, you'll notice handy little links called guideways. If you haven't used the guideways with your students before, you're going to love them. The guideways are efficient timesavers that will help you get all your students using the program, even if some are already a step or two ahead of others. Our guideways are self-directed, easy to use, and give you a choice of three specific objectives: * Are you just starting your planning process? * Do you already have a career in mind? * Choosing a major and a college? Students are then guided step-by-step through the Choices Planner program based on what they've started or completed. Once all the steps are completed, they will have an instant education or career plan. Of course, as always, all work is automatically stored in their personal portfolios. Better still, if you want to track your students' progress using guideways, you can do that easily too. Just go into the Tracker section of your Professional Tools. There you will be able to review their guideways usage. We can't guarantee the guideways will help you be more organized in the morning -- that part is up to you -- but we can help you be more organized in guiding your students through Choices Planner. Until next time,
