Every year Bridges enhances Choices Planner with great new features to reflect customer requests and the latest data updates. Here are the latest enhancements designed to empower you and your students with the best possible product experience:

As of Fall 2008:

• Choices Planner Guideways
  Our Guideways take students through the Choices Planner features in a logical order, keeping track of their progress as they go. The Guideways are a great way to ensure students are getting the most out of their planning tools.

  We've made the Guideways more visible and improved their tracking functions so students instantly know what they need to do next. You'll find the Guideways on the front page of Choices Planner.

• Course Plan Builder Enhancements
  You can now "lock" a student's four-year plan for improved reporting and tracking. We've enhanced our reporting features so you can monitor students' progress with greater accuracy.

  Additionally, you can use our expanded Notes field for better communication. And students now have the ability to create course plans for Grades 7 and 8.

• Portfolio Merging
  Ever noticed that some students create more than one portfolio? That can make it hard to monitor their progress. You can now merge multiple portfolios through the Professional Tools.

  Students can also merge their portfolios by clicking on the Merge Portfolios link on the main Portfolio page.

• Professional Account: Administrator Privileges
  We've increased the security of site administration. All Professional Accounts can still access the Reporter, Reviewer and Tracker features in order to monitor student progress. However, only those with Administrator privileges can perform administrative tasks for site management. These administrative tasks include customizing course plans, managing passwords, creating Professional Accounts or upgrading individual portfolios to Professional Accounts.

  To upgrade your Professional Account to include Administrator privileges, you'll need an Administrator Code. You can find the Administrator Code in your Welcome Letter. After you upgrade using your Administrator Code, you will not need to use the code again.

• More Accessible - for Everyone
  We're working on making Choices Planner compatible with screen readers like JAWS to make our planning tools available to a wider range of people, including the visually impaired. Most of our popular features, such as the School Finder, Career Finder and Interest Profiler, are currently compatible with screen readers.

• Clearer Relationships Between Interests and Career Clusters
  In order to highlight how interests can connect to career clusters, we've matched Interest Profiler results with career clusters. After completing the Interest Profiler, users can choose to see their top career clusters, in addition to their top careers.

• New Career Information
  Choices Planner adds new careers in each year in order to reflect the changing world of work. We've added new career options to our database to broaden students' possibilities.

  We've also updated our career data in response to the latest information from O*NET and other sources.
