For over 30 years, Doug Manning has been deeply involved in education as a teacher, school counsellor and district administrator of career programs. In 1994, he co-founded Bridges Transitions to enable more young people to successfully self-manage the transition from high school to post-secondary education or work. In 2006, Doug left his role as Bridges' President in order to invest greater time in a more proactive role as an Educational Consultant.

Doug obtained his bachelor's degree in 1975 and master's degree in 1983 and was named the Community Leader of the Year in 1995 and Entrepreneur of the Year in 2001. An accomplished speaker, Doug seeks to support those interested in enabling young people to graduate with the skills and direction required to become healthy self-reliant citizens.
