Free Online Magazine for "Career Parents" Launched
May 17, 2000 Bridges.com Inc. (TSE:BIT) has taken another step in expanding its consumer market presence. Today, the company launched its latest unique online consumer service. Career Parent Magazine is intended to be a weekly must-read for parents who want to help their kids get interested in self awareness, career awareness, career/life exploration and planning, personal management and connecting to their community. "We encourage parents and their kids to use Career Parent Magazine's articles as starting points to talk about issues like careers, goal-setting and planning," said magazine editor Bud Mortenson. The magazine can be read either on the Web or by e-mail subscription. It offers informative articles, hands-on activities and resource pointers written by career counsellors -- people experienced in helping young people take charge of their futures. Parents of pre-teens, teens and older youths each have their own editions. Perhaps the most attractive feature of Career Parent Magazine is that it is free to subscribe to any, or all, of the editions. Career Parent Magazine is on the Web now at: http://careerparent.bridges.com. It's easy to subscribe and get it in your e-mail box once a week.
