Record Year Completes Bridges' Three-Year Plan

December 2000
A total of 403 new site sales in November wrapped up a stellar year and completed the company's three-year focus of attaining 7,000 schools or 20 per cent of North America's middle and high school market. Over 7,500 middle and high schools are now using Career Explorer. Combined with the company's other core resource, Choices, Bridges.com products are now used by more than 10,400 schools -- a 30 per cent share of the market.
Over the next three years, the company intends to continue its strong growth in the school market and to introduce a suite of application services for graduating seniors. On the strength of Bridges' success in the educational marketplace, the company is now expanding its direct-use career planning services for individuals outside the school environment.
The company expects to have year-end figures available by mid-January 2001.
Recent Accomplishments and Developments

Career Advantage Launching Bridges' personal career exploration service, Career Advantage, will be launched in December. This is the company's first subscription service designed specifically for individual users such as youths, adults in career transitions and home-schooled students. Partnerships with high-traffic Web sites will drive users to Career Advantage - extending Bridges.com's reach to individuals engaged in career development, but who do not have access to the company's school-based subscription services. Ontario Purchases Choix
Ontario has purchased Choix, the French-language version of Choices, for all 100 French-speaking schools in the province.
Branding Through Highwired Exposure More than 13,000 high schools in the Highwired.com community are now receiving selected Bridges.com career content each day -- significantly increasing the company's brand exposure in high schools, one of Bridges' most important target markets. This is an effective way of marketing the company's products at minimal cost.
This increased awareness of Bridges' services, and increased market share, are necessary ingredients for future growth as the company moves forward with its new three-year business focus. That focus is on providing online application services to the three million high school students graduating each year in North America. In November, U.S. versions of Career Explorer and Choices received new online college application and financial aid services through a partnership with Xap.com.
