Bridges Signs Florida to a Statewide, Three-Year Agreement For immediate release September 9, 2004 Kelowna, B.C - Bridges Transitions Inc. ("Bridges" or "the Company") (TSX: BIT), North America's leading provider of career and educational planning solutions is pleased to announce that it has recently signed a statewide, three-year contract with the state of Florida, with an option of three additional years. The agreement is worth (US) $249,000 per year, and provides Bridges' newly launched Choices Planner product and Choices CD product to every middle and high school in Florida. Under a separate agreement Florida is providing 150 middle schools with Bridges' Career Futures software, covering a two-year period, for an additional (US) $75,000. As well, Florida has committed to a further (US) $40,000 for the purchase of additional products to be supplied during this fiscal year. Bridges was awarded the contract through a competitive public Request For Proposal (RFP) process. "We've been a Choices state for the last 25 years. The program continues to improve each year. Annual survey results show that users are very satisfied with the program," said Zelda Rogers, of the Florida Department of Education. "The program is very comprehensive. It meets all the needs of our state: information on careers, education, financial aid, assessments, career planner, and too many things to mention here." Bridges' Choices Planner provides a rich user experience offering improved performance, accountability, relevance, and accessibility. It's the Internet version of Choices CD that delivers self-directed career and education planning tools to more students - any time, anywhere. It includes a comprehensive suite of assessments, college planning, accountability reporting tools, and user guidance tools - plus many new capabilities such as online storage of portfolios.
