Monster.ca and Bridges.com create a
career exploration tool for the Nexus Generation

Job seekers can now chart their own career path

March 8, 2000

Kelowna, March 8, 2000 - Bridges.com Inc. (TSE:BIT) and Monster.ca announced today their plans to launch the Monster Advantage, a career/life-planning tool that will be accessible through the Monster.ca Web site and directed by Bridges.com.

This service, which is the first of its kind in Canada, is a self-administered and self-guided career assessment and career exploration tool for individuals facing career choices or changes.

"This introduces a new Web-based career planning service for consumers, one that we believe will have broad market appeal for people faced with career challenging career options," said Doug Manning, CEO and President of Bridges.com.

Bridges.com, based in Kelowna B.C., sees the partnership as a natural complement to the 14 daily online career news services it currently publishes, including customized services in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Manitoba. Bridges.com will provide the support for the service as well as provide weekly career news to the Monster.ca site, where it will be integrated into the Campus Zone area of the Web site, designed specifically for the 18- to 30-year-old Canadian market.

"The Monster Advantage is like a personal guidance counsellor who will help you through the career decision making process," said Jennifer-Lee Thomas, spokesperson for Monster.ca. "We believe the Monster Advantage will complement our existing career services available to all job seekers."

The consumer subscription is scheduled to be released in April 2000. This value-added service will be offered at an estimated retail price of $25.00 Cdn., along with the existing products and services available at Monster.ca and will be of tremendous service for both students and recent graduates.

Bridges.com is the market leader in the provision of online career and educational services to North American middle and secondary schools.
