Known Issues Notes

Netscape Navigator 6.0, 6.1 and 6.2

We advise not to use these versions of browsers as they have several known issues. Ideally install the 4.7 or 4.8 version of Netscape Navigator. Netscape 7.0 does function but as it's so new, it is advised to wait for an update to be released. Please refer to additional information for Minimum Browser Requirements

Internet Explorer 5.5

Known printing issues. Ideally upgrade to IE 5.5 Service Pack 2. Please refer to additional information for Minimum Browsers Requirements.

Internet Explorer 6.0

The Java Virtual Machine component is not part of IE 6.0. This is required for eGuidanceCenter to function correctly. Advise to install Service Pack 1 for Internet Explorer 6, this will add this component and fix other known issues. Also new security features by default block cookies. eGuidanceCenter, Choices Explorer and eChoices need these to function correctly. Please refer to additional information for Minimum Browsers Requirements.

Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 1

New security features by default block cookies. eGuidanceCenter, Choices Explorer and eChoices need these to function correctly. Please refer to additional information for Minimum Browsers Requirements.

Internet Explorer 5.0.x, 5.1.x and 5.2.x for the Macintosh

Certain Macintosh versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer do not correctly open the eGuidanceCenter's Explore section (a section providing access to Choices Explorer, built into the eGuidanceCenter).

This issue affects only Macintosh versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0.x, 5.1.x and 5.2.x.

If you cannot open the Explore section of eGuidanceCenter, please try one of the following:

  1. Use a Netscape browser.

  2. Call our Customer Support center at 1-800-281-1168. We will provide you with access to Choices Explorer outside the eGuidanceCenter. This non-eGuidanceCenter version of Choices Explorer will work with your Macintosh version of Internet Explorer.

We look forward to serving your needs through the remainder of this school year. We are working with Microsoft to resolve this issue in the future. If you are affected and find that the alternatives we have suggested are not suitable, please contact us at 1-800-281-1168.

Please refer to additional information for Minimum Browsers Requirements.
