Choices CD Edition


For successful access to our installed software or online resources and services, ensure your site is prepared with the proper technical components. Prior to purchasing, please have your network technician or other local technical contact review these specifications.

Minimum System Requirements:

Windows Windows

  • Windows 98 or higher on a Pentium-class PC
  • A color monitor with a minimum of 256 colours, 800 X 600 resolution
  • 90 MB of available hard drive space
  • Novell Netware users:
    • Windows 98 requires Novell client 3.32 SP1
    • Windows NT/2000/XP requires Novell client 4.83 SP1

Macintosh Macintosh

  • System 8.6 or higher (Mac OS X in "Classic Mode")
  • PowerPC processor or above
  • A color monitor with a minimum of 256 colors, 800 X 600 resolution
  • 32 MB of RAM, 90 MB of available hard drive space

Minimum Software Requirements:

  • Internet access is optional, but should be set up in order to access online resources
  • Quicktime 5 is optional, but must be installed to view career videos
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader is optional, but must be installed to read PDF documents

Installing Choices:

Choices can be installed on a network or on standalone machines. If you answer Yes to any of the questions below, please complete a network installation of Choices.

  • Do you want Accountability Reports compiled at one central location at your school?
  • Do you want to back up session files to one central location?
  • Do you want to apply software updates from one central location?
  • Do you want to customize items in Choices for all users, such as items listed on the Choices Start screen?

You will receive an Installation Guide with your software for network-specific installation instructions. Some preliminary steps must be taken to ready your server for the Choices installation.
