Choices Planner



For successful access to our installed software or online resources and services, ensure your site is prepared with the proper technical components. Prior to purchasing, please have your network technician or other local technical contact review these specifications.

Internet Browser

Users must acquire their own Internet browser. To take full advantage of the features on our service, we recommend that you use the latest released version of Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator. Here are some starting places for downloading a browser:

Currently, approximately 95% of visitors use Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Minimum System Requirements:

  • Macromedia Flash plug-in version 5
    (version 6 or higher is recommended)
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 must be installed to read PDF documents
  • Quicktime 5 (version 6 or higher is recommended) must be installed to view career videos

Windows Windows

  • Windows 98 or higher
  • Internet Explorer -- version 5.01 or higher (version 6.0 is recommended)
  • Netscape -- version 4.79 or higher  

Macintosh Macintosh

  • For Mac OS 8.6 to 9.x -- Internet Explorer 5.1.7 or higher  
  • For Mac OS X -- Internet Explorer 5.2.3 or higher
  • Netscape -- version 4.6 or higher

Network Requirements:

  • Firewall, proxy servers, filtering software and anti-virus software should be configured to allow access to the "bridges.com" domain
  • HTTP access must be allowed (port 80)
  • Javascript and session cookies must be enabled (this is the default setting for most browsers).
  • Filtering and anti-virus software needs to be configured to allow pop-ups in the "bridges.com" domain
  • Internet connection through 56k modem, ISDN or other high-speed network connection
