Choices Explorer: Frequently Asked Questions

I know our school has "Bridges" but I don't know how to access it.
"Bridges" is our company name, and you most likely subscribe to one of our internet based resources, such as Choices® Explorer. Go to
www.bridges.com. Sign in to the Educator section, and beneath the Site ID tab enter your school's Site ID and Password. If you do not know the Site ID and Password, check with the site administrator at your school, or contact Bridges Customer Support by calling toll-free 1-800-281-1168, or via e-mail Support Form.

I know my school's Site ID and Password, but it's not working when I enter it.
Check to make sure you are entering the Site ID and Password in the Site ID tab. Also check to make sure the Caps Lock button isn't on, as the password is case sensitive. If you know the login is correct and you're still having problems either contact Customer Support, or check out the Technical FAQ as it may be a technical issue.

What is the Portfolio and how do I use it?
The Choices Explorer Portfolio is an electronic portfolio system within the website in which students can store information about themselves, save their Career Finder Quiz and Program Finder Quiz results, bookmark their favourite Choices Explorer articles, and much more. In the Student sign in area at
www.bridges.com, students can click Create A New Portfolio. Students create their own Portfolio Name and Password. Sign In to your personal portfolio each time you use Choices Explorer.

How do I get my students started with Choices Explorer?
First, familiarize yourself with Choices Explorer's features when you check out the online product tutorials. Next, register for a free one hour Choices Explorer webinar to learn and share best practices with other educators across the country. Check out
Training for more information. Make sure all staff and students at your school have the website URL, and your school's Site ID and Password.

How do I access my Professional Tools?
Go to
www.bridges.com and sign in to the Educator Section. Click on Create a New Professional Account and enter your Site ID, Password and Professional Account Access Key, availble from your site administrator. Upon signing in to your Professional Account, you will be granted with access to Choices Explorer's Professional Tools. Your Professional Tools provide you with access to valuable implementation and integration ideas, as well as insightful statistics and reporting features.

Are there any lesson plans to use with Choices Explorer?
Yes there are! Look in the Resources section of your Professional Tools to view, download and print off Lesson Plans and Activities for every subject.

Can our students use the website from home or only at school?
Because Choices Explorer is an internet based product, staff and students can use Choices Explorer while at school, or even from home.
