Choices Planner: Frequently Asked Questions

I forgot our Site ID and Password for Choices® Planner.
If you do not know the Site ID and Password, check with your site administrator, or contact Bridges Customer Support at 1-800-468-6927, or
Support Form.

I've taken the Interest Profiler. Is there any way to save my results?
Yes, create a portfolio and any assessments you take within Choices Planner will be saved to your portfolio. You can also save your favorite careers, programs/majors and post-secondary schools, plus a whole lot more. To create a portfolio, click on the Student section of the Bridges' product portal page at
www.bridges.com. Students will need to enter their required information, including their Site ID and Password, and create their own Portfolio Name and Password. Sign In to your personal portfolio each time you use Choices Planner.

What are the Professional Tools and how do I access them?
The Choices Planner Professional Tools are only for site administrators or educators. Lesson plans, portfolio reporting and customization features are available here. To access your Professional Tools, you must create a Professional Account. Sign in to the Educator section and click on the Create a New Professional Account link. Enter your Site ID, Password and Professional Account Access Key, available from your site administrator.

I have users who have forgotten their portfolio login. Is there any way to look this up?
Yes, site administrators or educators can look up user portfolio names and passwords from the Professional Tools. To access your Professional Tools you must first sign in to your Professional Account. In the Reviewer section, you can search for the user's portfolio or use the alphabetical listing of portfolios to look it up.

If our site has both Choices Explorer and Choices Planner, do users have to create two portfolios (one for each product)?
No. Users can create one portfolio within Choices® Explorer or Choices Planner and open their portfolio in either product.

Can I delete portfolios?
Yes, you can release and delete portfolios. Releasing moves the portfolio to a holding account, allowing the portfolio user to attach themselves to a new site. For example, a student's portfolio would be released if they were transferring to a new school. The Delete function deletes a portfolio completely. The Delete function should not be used if an individual has transferred to a new site. Instead, Delete should only be used if a user has created a duplicate portfolio. If a user has created a second portfolio because they can't remember their login, remind them to go see their counselor or teacher, as they could look up their login from the Professional Tools.
